Job summary

ProLift Toyota Material Handling is seeking an experienced Shop Service Technician to provide world-class maintenance and repair services to forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations in Kentucky.

You will diagnose and repair electric and internal combustion forklifts, troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, drivetrain, and electronic systems, and perform preventative maintenance while delivering outstanding customer service and working independently.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience repairing industrial equipment or material handling equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school education preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic software preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs and work in various environments.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of experience repairing industrial equipment, heavy equipment, automotive diesel, agricultural, or material handling equipment, required
• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Technical school education, preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Experience with diagnostic software, preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (may require medical certificate or CDL)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift, push and pull up-to 75lbs and work in various environments such as outdoor rain or snow conditions

Preferred Experience

• Toyota forklift repair experience
• ASE, EVT, or OEM certifications
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Battery electric and lithium-ion equipment
