Job summary

Geoprobe Systems® seeks a service technician to join a dedicated team focused on inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of our drilling rigs.

You will deliver high-quality, customer-ready equipment for environmental, geotechnical, geothermal, and water-well projects, and clearly describe problems and solutions to customers. Travel to field sites is possible; teamwork and schematics literacy are essential.

Qualifications

  • Have strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system experience.
  • Able to read and interpret schematic drawings.
  • Proficient with hand tools and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and preventative maintenance on customer vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and adjust machines as needed.
  • Maintain detailed service records and document interactions in the internal system.
  • Cross-train on different machines and meet service delivery schedules.
  • Communicate with customers to describe problems and solutions.

Job description

As a Geoprobe® service technician, you'll be part of a dedicated team focused on providing top service through efficient rig repairs and maintenance. Your role will involve inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of our technical drilling rigs. Your professional approach to producing high-quality, customer-ready equipment ensures clients in the environmental, geotechnical, geothermal, and water well industries remain active. Successful candidates have strong communication skills and are able to clearly describe problems and processes with customers; a collaborative mindset; and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on customer vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, recommend and repair all critical machine and engine adjustments
    • Study, read, and interpret schematic engineering drawings
    • Test to ensure accuracy of repairs
  • Maintain detailed records of service interactions, solutions provided, and follow-up actions
    • Timely input of machine-related customer interactions entered into internal system
  • Ability to cross-train and learn a variety of machines that come into the shop.
  • Complete all assignments in a timely manner and meet service delivery schedules
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
