Job summary

Mossy Auto Group is seeking experienced Service Technicians to join our fast-paced, high-volume shop. You will inspect, service, and prepare new and used vehicles per factory and dealership standards, ensuring customer satisfaction by completing jobs correctly and on time.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background and knowledge of current vehicle models.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Must have clean and valid CA driver’s license.
• OEM certifications are encouraged and beneficial.
• Technical or trade school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of current models and vehicles.
• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to test components and systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, etc.).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

The Service Technician inspects, services, & prepares new & used vehicles according to factory & dealership standards, policies & specifications. As a Service Technician the responsibility of customer satisfaction falls into the categories of completing the job correctly and on time.

Pay Scale

The Service Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly and Flag Rate Compensation of between $34.00 and $39.00, plus a productivity bonus equivalent up to a maximum hourly rate of $50.00 per hour based on individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining up to date technical knowledge of current models and used vehicles sufficient to effectively communicate with service & sales staff
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Complying with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs
