Job summary

Valenti Ford in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain all vehicle systems. You will work with the Service Advisor, provide accurate repair estimates, and ensure work meets dealer standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience desired.
• A‑level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor so customers are informed of additional services.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures
• Test‑drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well‑informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience desired
• ASE Certification a plus
• A‑level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
