Job summary

Bob Valenti Auto Group in Connecticut is seeking a skilled Service Technician with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems. You will work on engine, electrical, braking, and suspension issues, following dealership policies and manufacturer specifications.

The role requires ASE certification and a minimum of five years of experience, plus a customer-focused approach in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience required.
• ASE Certification required.
• A-level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies.
• Collaborative, customer-focused team player.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional services needed.
• Provide time estimates for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications
