Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Security Technician in Maine to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers.

The role emphasizes customer communication, diagnosing needs, and returning systems to full functionality. The technician will inspect systems, prepare written or digital reports, and provide high levels of service to resolve building inefficiencies.

Formación

• Electrical/Electronic background required.
• 5 years in low-voltage or security industry.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• Valid driver's license with excellent driving record.
• Maine Electrical license.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
• Perform repair and/or inspections of intrusion detection, IP CCTV, Access Control systems and fire alarms (if applicable).
• Assist fellow service technicians with system repairs and completes minor repairs including battery replacement.
• Test operation of system to the customer monitoring center to properly establish service connectivity.
• Complete all forms accurately and customer paperwork as required.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility runs efficiently and upsell opportunities.

What you will do

A Johnson Controls Security Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert possessing knowledge and experience with intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. Candidate will possess strong verbal communication skills as they identify the needs of the customer and then inform them of next steps and processes to repair the system as needed to return full functionality.

Candidate will possess skills and experience to inspect said systems to ensure proper functionality and provide written or digital reports to customer and company as needed. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items.

This Technician will be set up with all of the tools and equipment needed to work independently from a remote location. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service

Sign on bonusavailable for selected, qualified, candidate with a NICET II. Bonus paid out after 6 months of employment.

How you will do it

What we look for

Required

• Electrical/Electronic background.
• 5 years in low-voltage or security industry.
• Excellent general knowledge of major security manufacturer platforms including: Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC, etc.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• Maine Electrical license.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred

• Fire alarm experience preferred.
• Some college preferred.
• NICET II or greater preferred.
• HIRSCH Certificate.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.00-41.25 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
