Job Description

Position: Experienced Security Officer for Metro Atlanta Class A Building

Position Type: Full-time and Part-time Concierge Level Service Officers

Location: Atlanta

Shift Type: 1st Shift

Pay rate: $18.50

We are looking for reliable concierge-level security officers to provide outstanding service to one of our VIP clients. You will be the first to meet with the public, tenants, and their guests so the first impression of our company depends on your friendliness and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a smart and trustworthy individual able to provide customers with a warm greeting and handle all incoming requests. You will be responsible for monitoring who comes in and out of the premises. The goal is to contribute to an overall pleasant customer experience and safe environment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
2. Conduct regular patrols
3. Monitor activities
4. Surveillance
5. Access Control
6. Safety escorts
7. Using provided communication devices
8. Represent EKG Security brand
9. Properly wear the issued uniform
10. Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
11. Complete Incident Reports
12. Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
13. Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
14. Other duties as described in the Post Orders

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.
2. CPR Certified preferred
3. Reliable transportation
4. Honesty and Integrity
5. Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
6. Must be able to obtain a Georgia State Unarmed Security Guard License
7. Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations

Education and Experience:

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. Prior Public Safety and/or Military experience preferred
3. Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
2. Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
3. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
