Emergency Services at Duke Regional Hospital is an 89-bed department caring primarily for patients experiencing ischemic strokes, non-specific chest pains, acute dyspnea, and other acute diagnoses. The department comprises three units: the Emergency Department, Behavioral Health Emergency Department, and Clinical Decision Unit. As an Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Duke University Health System, you will prioritize service while caring for the whole person in a patient-centered environment. The RN is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect nursing care, utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to meet departmental goals. You will plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients, participate in the clinical ladder program, educational activities, departmental committees, research projects, or other health-related initiatives. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of practice defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Adhere to all applicable rules and regulations, and actively participate in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining respectful relationships with all.
Full Time: 3 - 12 hour shifts
Shifts available: 1p to 1a (late/mid/second shift)
Note: This position is open only to experienced candidates (with at least one year of RN experience). New graduates are encouraged to apply for upcoming positions in February 2025.
