OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an Experienced RN - Nurse Educator for the Pediatric Surgery unit. The role focuses on organizing and developing pediatric OR education, orienting new hires, and leading staff development aligned with OU Health values in a busy 24/7 pediatric operating room.
The educator oversees orientation, competency development, CPR training, and quality improvement initiatives, while ensuring high standards of patient care and adherence to accreditation requirements.

Location: Oklahoma Children's Hospital
Shift Available: Full Time, Monday - Friday (8 hour shifts with flexibility). No call - Flexibility means covering the 2 night crews. This can be done the majority of the time by coming in early or staying late. Occasionally there might be a need to be there during night shift. The only call this role would ever cover might be administrative call.
Oklahoma Children's Hospital Operating Room has 11 OR rooms and 2 procedural rooms. We conduct an array of surgeries, including Urology, Cardiac, General, ENT, OMFS, Dental, Plastics, Neurology, Orthopedics, Robotics, and Gastorenterology. On average, we perform 700 cases a month. We stagger our teams throughout the day and are open 24/7 with call teams after 1900. We have an inhouse team (nurse and ST) every weekend Saturday and Sunday. Our in unit nurse educator organizes and develops pediatric operating room education designed to prepare, grow, and expand your skills and knowledge with the longest orientation in the hospital. The educator is responsible for helping review policies and oversees our new hires throughout their orientation.
Under general supervision, performs professional work in all phases of a comprehensive staff development and training program for an assigned unit. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Experience: 3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
