Job summary

Mercy Springfield is hiring Registered Nurses for the Emergency Trauma Center. The team provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinates across departments, and upholds patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing.
• Licensure: Current RN licensure with MO State Board or temporary permit.
• Experience: Hospital-based experience; Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC as required or within probation period.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Provides care in the Emergency Trauma Center, a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center.

Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development need's.

• The Emergency Trauma Center is a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center, recognized for outstanding trauma services in both Missouri and Arkansas
• We are the areas only Regional Burn Center serving our multistate areas including Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
• 70 exam/treatment areas including 6 designated trauma suits
• 11 beds dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department, with specialty trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians
• Specialty Behavioral Health resources and treatment areas

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing.
• Licensure: Possess a current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.
• Experience: Must have hospital based experience. Preferred one year Emergency Department experience.
• Certifications: ETC and Acute Care Center RN's must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. ETC RN's must have a current ACLS card or complete a course within 6 months of their hire date. ETC RN's must have current PALS or ENPC, and TNCC cards or complete courses within one year of hire date.
