Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking Registered Nurses for the Chestnut PACU to provide pediatric and adult recovery care in a high-quality setting. The Chestnut PACU is equipped to support caregivers in delivering excellent patient care.

The role is full-time with 10-hour shifts, rotating days, and a focus on Motility and Endoscopy training. Baystate Health offers strong benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required, critical care experience preferred, pediatric experience preferred.
• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
• This RN role will be duo trained in Motility and Endoscopy – Related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient in the pre-op area for surgery and provide care in recovery post-surgery in Outpatient Operating Rooms.
• Care for mostly pediatric patients with some adults, both inpatient and outpatient.
• Assist in rotating 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with schedule hours including early and late starts.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Prepares the patient in the pre-op area for surgery, and provides care for patients during recovery post-surgery, Outpatient Operating Rooms.

Patient Population: Mostly Pediatric, some adults, Inpatient and Outpatient.

SCHEDULE:

Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Schedule hours can rotate early starts and later starts.

Work shifts are 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, rotating days.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
