Job summary

LCMC Health's West Jefferson Medical Center in Louisiana is seeking a dedicated RN for night shift. You’ll lead care coordination, ensure safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver direct, compassionate patient care.

With 2+ years of RN experience and a current Louisiana license (BLS preferred), you’ll support families and educate patients while maintaining high standards of care and environment of care compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 2+ years of experience as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure appropriate direct patient care.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team members regarding events or changes.
• Prevent and treat wounds.
• Follow Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, and clear communications.
• Escalate to supervisor when assignments cannot be completed safely.
• Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources.
• Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked.
