Experienced Revenue Cycle Manager - Home Infusion

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivables Teams, including payers such as Aetna, Cigna, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid. Responsibilities include managing denials, preparing appeals, and aligning reimbursements with contracts. The role involves performing quality reviews, identifying training needs, and documenting policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with federal and state regulations related to billing and collections.

Job Summary

The Collections Manager is a full-time role responsible for supervising collection staff, managing collections processes, and ensuring maximum cash flow. Key activities include contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties. The role also involves quality reviews, policy documentation, and team leadership.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of healthcare industry experience required.
  • Home Infusion and Intrathecal Pain Management experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee collections operations, including contract analysis, denials, claims monitoring, and staff productivity.
  • Serve as SME for collection and billing processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments for information needed for claims payment.
  • Prepare and analyze bi-weekly and monthly reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates.
  • Perform quality reviews and improve collection and billing efficiency.
  • Supervise staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, and billing procedures.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members in a dynamic environment.
  • Handle hiring, scheduling, and staff performance reviews.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills in complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Proficiency with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team and adapt to change.
  • Travel up to 25%.
