Job summary

Sun Valley Solar, based in Chandler, AZ, is seeking an experienced Solar Installer to join a local team. This role involves installing residential solar systems, reading drawings, and ensuring safety and quality on every job.

Typical duties include mounting, roofing penetrations, wiring, system testing, and documenting work. Overtime may occur, and reliable transportation to our Chandler shop is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing residential solar or performing removal and reinstalls.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble all racking systems and solar arrays per specifications.
• Install roof penetrations and seal all holes.
• Install grounding and DC wiring plus solar module connections.
• Remove and reinstall solar systems for roof repairs and replacements.
• Read and interpret drawings, layouts and wiring diagrams and take direction from a Lead.
• Short trench runs (we sub out longer runs).
• Daily job site cleanup and organization of work trailer.
• Perform system testing and troubleshooting.
• Complete photo documentation of all work performed.
• PPE usage, Fall protection, ladder tie off and safe use of all tools and equipment.
• Contribute as a valued member of a small team.
