Job summary

Elite Construction Company in Valdosta, GA seeks a seasoned Lead Residential Journeyman Electrician to lead our residential projects in the Valdosta area. You will run a service truck, install, maintain and repair electrical systems, and guide a crew to meet safety and code standards.

On-call availability is required; some weekends may be necessary. A clean driving record and a valid license are a must. Compensation ranges from $24.00 to $28.00 per hour with room for growth.

Elite Construction is seeking a Seasoned Lead Residential Journeyman Electrician to assist with our many residential projects in the Valdosta/ Thomasville/ Tifton area. We are seeking a leader who can run a service truck in our residential department. We are seeking a reliable Residential Electrician to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems in residential settings. Hard working and dependable need only apply!! Must be able to work on-call when needed. Must be able to work some weekends. We are looking for a team player.

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems and components, including wiring, fixtures, and panels. Identify electrical problems using various testing devices and diagnostic tools. Ensure all work meets local and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals to complete projects accurately. Provide excellent customer service, clearly explaining work performed to homeowners. Manage a company vehicle and maintain inventory of tools and materials (if applicable). Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Trouble-shoot all electric systems. Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Direct and train electricians to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Place and bend conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. Comprehend, read and blueprints, specifications, work site directions. Practice and comprehend safe work procedures. Have knowledge of job site safety. Keep track of any work requested or completed beyond scope/contract and reporting it to supervisor before any extra work is performed. Must have a clean driving record and valid license. INSTALLING NEW WIRING VIA MC CABLE OR CONDUIT. INSTALLING RECEPTACLES, LIGHTING SYSTEMS AND FIXTURES.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Repetitive motion of shoulders, arm, hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects up to 50lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time without sitting.
• Exposed repetitive walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling squatting, climbing, kneeling, reaching over the head and twisting.

OSHA experience.

Full-Time Position. Job Type: Full-time. Monday thru Friday 10 to 12 hours days with some weekend work.

Pay will be depending on your experience. $24.00-$28.00
