Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a qualified Reservoir Engineer for a challenging role in Spring, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in Conventional Reservoir Engineering, focusing on modeling, simulation, and performance optimization.

Job description

What You Will Do
  • Perform reservoir modeling and simulation to support conventional and/or deepwater developments.
  • Conduct reservoir depletion planning and field development planning.
  • Perform reserves assessments and identify production or injection optimization opportunities.
  • Plan, evaluate and/or execute appraisal and field development / drill well programs.
  • Identify key reservoir uncertainties and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
  • Improve reservoir description through fluid analysis, core evaluation, well testing interpretation, and production performance analysis.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required – preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical. Advanced Degrees (Master’s / PhD) also welcome.
  • Minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 years of industry experience in Conventional Reservoir Engineering.
  • Reservoir simulation experience in new developments and/or producing assets (including constructing, updating and history matching models).
  • INTERSECT / Eclipse Reservoir Simulation experience.
  • Self‑motivated and focused on achieving business results while working in a multi‑disciplinary team in a fast‑paced business environment. Demonstrated teamwork and strong communication skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in reservoir analytical performance prediction, asset development and depletion planning, reserves assessment, reservoir surveillance & optimization, volumes forecasting, economic analysis and data management.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
  • Pressure Transient Testing.
  • Fluid sampling and analysis.
  • Enhanced Oil Recovery.
  • Core Analysis.
  • Petrophysics.
