Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• 5+ years of legal experience in regulatory settings.
• Licensed to practice law; NM bar admission preferred.
• Experience with litigation, administrative proceedings, regulatory matters.

Responsabilités

• Represent the organization in regulatory and administrative proceedings before the NM Public Regulation Commission and other bodies.
• Manage multiple regulatory matters including rate cases, rulemakings, regulatory inquiries, tariffs, certificate proceedings, and filings.
• Draft and review pleadings, briefs, discovery, testimony, filings, comments, and settlements.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel on regulatory issues.
• Monitor NM laws and regulatory developments that could impact operations.
• Develop strategies to support business objectives and mitigate risk.
• Coordinate with regulatory affairs, rates, finance, accounting, engineering, and operations teams.
• Participate in hearings, settlements, and negotiations; coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
