Job summary

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. The 8-bed CVICU serves patients after open heart surgery, valve procedures, and other complex cardiovascular care, with emphasis on collaboration and expert nursing care.

Ideal candidates have CVICU or CVIMC experience and are prepared to advance critical care skills in a high-acuity environment, working with intensivists, surgeons, and AP

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans; coordinate interventions with the nursing team.

Full-Time Night Shift

Join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic procedures in a high-acuity, specialized environment. This 8-bed CVICU provides an excellent opportunity to care for patients following open heart surgery, catheter-based valve procedures, vascular interventions, and thoracic surgeries. ICU or Cardiovascular Intermediate Care (CVIMC) experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

Qualifications

This position has a hiring range of
