Join us as an Experienced Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab at Jackson South Medical Center. This full-time, day-shift position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Overview

The Clinical Staff Nurse in the Cath Lab/Intervention Radiology is responsible for delivering excellent patient care, demonstrating critical thinking and scientific judgment in planning and anticipating patient needs. The role involves performing nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while adhering to high standards of professional performance such as ethics, cultural competence, communication, collaboration, evidence-based practice, and resource utilization. The nurse will operate within the JHS CARE Model, ensuring accountability across all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate patient care in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Utilize the nursing process effectively, documenting all care and observations accurately.
• Manage medication administration, including narcotics, and maintain infection control standards.
• Recognize and report significant patient findings, collaborating on corrective actions.
• Follow clinical protocols, care plans, and discharge instructions.
• Complete all documentation, including charges and compliance with HIPAA.
• Participate in patient rounds, supervision of staff, and unit activities.
• Maintain clinical competence and perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related nursing experience.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Valid Florida RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
