Experienced Railcar Repair Technician / Welder

PSC Group is now hiring a full-time Experienced Railcar Repair Technician that can be certified to weld and will work safely around heavy equipment, railcars and railroad tracks to coordinate and complete all railcar repairs. Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 10 hour shifts (Must be flexible to work OT as needed)



Pay Range: $21.00-$27.00/hr depending on experience



Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs

  • Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge

  • Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks

  • Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies

  • Ensures AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met

  • Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task


Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass a plate welding test: AWS D15.1 - 2G,3G,and 4G plate test

  • Requires a valid Driver's License and able to obtain valid TWIC card

  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.

  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check

  • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
