Job description

Experienced Railcar Repair Technician / Welder
Point Comfort, TX

PSC Group is hiring a full-time Experienced Railcar Repair Technician who is certified to weld. The role involves working safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks to complete railcar repairs. Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts (overtime as needed)

Pay Range: $21.00-$27.00/hr depending on experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders and blueprints/schematics for repairs
  • Utilize mechanical skills to weld, cut, and gouge
  • Notify materials or equipment needs
  • Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area
  • Meet quality standards of AAR, ARS, and customers
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • Pass a plate welding test: AWS D15.1 - 2G, 3G, and 4G plate tests
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain TWIC card
  • At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pass drug, physical, and background checks
  • Military experience is a plus
