Boeing Defense, Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Engineer to support the X-37B Quality team at the Kennedy Space Center, FL!
As a Quality Engineer, you will ensure the Boeing Company's Quality Management System requirements are met by developing, implementing, and supporting efficient and effective quality methods, tools and processes. You will be part of a larger team of Quality professionals who serve as the primary point of contact for operations to provide review, acceptance, and ensure product and area integrity
This position requires current Special Program Access to the X-37B Program.
Analyze engineering documentation to determine process capability and conformance
Perform audits of critical safety statement of work for engineering, build plan, and conformance planning improvements
Review and improve current build plan for simplification and standardization
Perform continuous improvement of Quality Engineering processes
Implement new data collection tools and techniques
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. The position will require the ability to maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP).
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance/SCI (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry
3+ years of experience auditing to quality standards
3+ years of experience working on MRB processes
3+ years of direct experience with Space Systems Engineering groups
Experience working as a Quality Engineer
Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
Proactive and collaborative mindset with an emphasis on positive relationships
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
