Job summary

DBM Global is seeking an experienced QC Inspector in Phoenix, AZ to perform dimensional and visual inspections of shop fabrication, including welds and paint inspections. You will record inspection data and ensure conformance to drawings, standards, and codes.

The role requires a high school diploma plus at least 3 years of related experience, with AWS-CWI/CAWI/SCWI/CWB credentials preferred. Strong understanding of structural welding codes and inspection procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of related experience.
• Completion of a vocational or training program may substitute for one year of experience.
• AWS-CWI/CAWI/SCWI/CWB preferred or equivalent in metals fabrication, inspection and testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform a dimensional and visual inspection of shop fabrication, including final paint inspections, weld preparations and final welds.
• Record and maintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control to ensure conformity with drawings, standards and codes.
• Identify and remedy drawing discrepancies with detailers.
• Coordinate with customers' inspectors during inspection phases.
• Inform foremen of defects in fabrication.
• Assist shop personnel with interpretation of codes, drawings and specifications.
