Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a skilled pump repair technician to support maintenance and repair of Sulzer and other manufacturers’ pumping equipment. You will work under limited supervision, assemble and disassemble pumps, inspect components, and determine root causes of failures at customer sites.

Role requires travel to customer locations, ability to work overtime, and proficiency with precision tools. Sulzer offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities in a global engineering

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of pump repair experience.
• Analytical and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Attention to detail is critical for inspection reports.
• Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pump equipment to customer specifications (OEM/industry standards).
• Disassemble equipment to access components for inspection and repair.
• Inspect and record component measurements; prepare inspection reports.
• Investigate and determine root cause of failures.
• Select proper materials per BOM for repairs.
• Contour impellers and pump casings to hydraulic requirements.
• Set up and operate dynamic balancing equipment.
• Perform final testing and inspections of repaired pumps.
