Job summary

Remapping Debate is seeking an experienced public policy reporter on a full-time basis. You will be writing deeply reported, long-form stories on national and NYC-based issues, typically 2,500 to 3,500 words. The role offers full flexibility to work remotely or in person.

Compensation starts at $85,000–$125,000 with six weeks of paid vacation and full employer reimbursement of healthcare premiums (to NY State Platinum Plan benchmarks) for you and eligible dependents.

Experienced public policy reporter, 85K - 125K

Remapping Debate is looking for an experienced reporter to join us on a full-time basis. You would be writing deeply reported (typically 2,500 to 3,500 word) stories on national and NYC-based issues. You would not be on the mind-destroying, soul-destroying, body-destroying treadmill of cranking out multiple pieces a day. Flexible start: as soon as immediately; as late as Sept. 7. The position can be as remote or as in person as you wish.

Compensation and Benefits

$85,000 - $125,000 to start. Six weeks of paid vacation.
