Job summary

Mead & Hunt seeks an Experienced Project Manager for the Architecture group in Bloomington, MN (also Chicago, IL). You will lead medium to large projects and coordinate client engagement from initiation to closeout.

The role requires 7+ years of project experience with 2+ years in PM; professional licensure is preferred. Expect involvement in budgeting, scheduling, proposals, and mentoring in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 7 years of relevant project experience, with at least 2 years in project management.
• If no degree, minimum 11 years airport project experience with at least 2 years PM.
• Licensed professional (NCARB) or PE preferred.
• LEED AP, WELL AP, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional accreditation a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently or in a team.

As a result, a full‑time position is available for an Experienced Project Manager within our Architecture group at either our Chicago (IL) or Bloomington (MN) office locations.

Responsibilities

• Managing medium to large projects for budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Developing and managing client contacts to secure future work
• Developing proposals including scope and pricing
• Providing project quality control
• Developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
• Other tasks as assigned

A valid driver's license and travel will be required (potentially up to 25% of the time).

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or other related field from an accredited college or university
• At least 7 years of relevant project experience with at least 2 years of project management experience
• If no degree, must have at least 11 years of relevant airport project experience with at least 2 years of project management experience

Ideal Candidate

• Experience managing medium to large projects
• Experience working on and/or managing airport projects
• Experience developing new clients and maintaining relationships with current clients
• Experience developing proposals including scope and pricing
• Experience with quality control
• Experience mentoring less experienced staff
• Experience or familiarity with generative AI‑driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors

A professional license in architecture with NCARB certification or in engineering with PE is highly preferred. Current accreditation as a LEED AP, WELL AP, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional are also a plus.

Salary Range: $130,000 to $145,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as experience, skill set and/or location.
