Job summary

B & G Industries Inc in Watertown, SD is hiring an Experienced Press Brake Operator for day shifts (10-hour days, Mon-Thu). Overtime as needed; $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. This role sets up and operates the brake press to produce bent parts that meet quality standards.

You will read drawings, set up tooling, calculate blank sizes and bending coordinates, prove programs, and inspect parts for conformance. Good communication and physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs with help are required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication required.

Job summary: An operatorset's up and operates brake press to produce high quality products that are bent correctly.

Responsibilities: Responsible for operations, proving programs, operating controls, and setting all machines functions to bend the parts. Must provide inspection of parts to assure conformance will be required. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Skills: Must be able to work from drawings, reading and understanding specifications to determine dimensions of finished product. Organize work area before and after parts are processed to eliminate double handling and work efficiency, while bending the product correctly. Able to calculate, blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage and tooling for each part being formed. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical requirements: May have to lift-up to 100 lbs. with help.
