Job summary

Walbec Group seeks a field-based equipment operator to support production and site operations across Southern Wisconsin. You will operate crushers, screens, wash plants, loaders, and trucks, and assist with maintenance and welding as needed.

Expect outdoor work in varying weather, early starts, occasional weekends, and travel between project sites. A valid license and 3–5+ years in mining are required; joining the union is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of mining experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Willingness to join the union and work outdoors in varying weather

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment at production sites
• Run crushers, screens, wash plants, loaders, haul trucks
• Assist with routine maintenance, welding, inspections, general labor
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Work early mornings and occasional weekends
• Travel between project sites across Southern Wisconsin

The Position:

Support production and site operations by operating and maintaining key equipment:

• Run crushers, screens, and wash plants
• Operate loaders, haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, and more
• Assist with routine maintenance, welding, inspections, and general labor
• Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe
• Work in varying weather conditions with early morning starts and occasional weekend hours
• Use equipment such as: Welders (Stick, MIG), Oxy Acetylene Torches, Pneumatic Jackhammers, Power Tools (Drill, Grinder, Impact Wrench, etc.), Front End Loader, Skid Steer Loader, Aerial Man Lift, Telehandler Lift, Water Truck, Telescoping Boom Truck, Dump Truck

Where You'll Work:

This is a portable operation - you'll travel between project sites across Southern Wisconsin.

Requirements:

• A valid driver's license and good driving record
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 3-5+ years of relevant mining experience
• Reliable, on-time, and comfortable working outdoors
• Willingness to join the union (don't worry, we'll help with that!)
