Job summary

Central Plumbing in Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced Service Plumber to diagnose, install, maintain and repair plumbing systems in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role independently troubleshoots issues, completes repairs efficiently, and delivers professional service to customers.

You will read blueprints, lay out layouts, install and repair water supply and waste systems, locate leaks, and prepare quotes for customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plumbing experience.
• Knowledge of water distribution and disposal systems in buildings.
• Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, critical-thinking, and diagnostic skills.
• Patient, friendly, and able to work effectively with a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose plumbing issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
• Read blueprints and drawings to plan plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply system layouts.
• Cut, assemble, and install plumbing lines while protecting existing infrastructure, including electrical wiring.
• Install, maintain, and repair water supply systems; locate and repair leaks.
• Repair or replace damaged drainage lines and clear clogged drains.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and appliances, including faucets and water heaters.
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems.
• Respond to dispatches, address customer questions, and provide professional service.
• Prepare quotes and present them directly to customers.
