Job summary

Howerton Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced plumber to serve the Greater Dayton area from Dayton, Ohio. Responsibilities include residential and commercial work, diagnostics, repairs, replacements, and new installations with emphasis on safety and code compliance.

You’ll use a company tablet, maintain high craftsmanship, and pursue leadership opportunities as you grow with a locally focused trades company. Competitive earning potential with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plumbing experience in residential, commercial, new construction, remodeling, service and repair, or a combination of these areas.
• Hands-on experience performing plumbing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair work.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.
• Ability to perform plumbing work safely, professionally, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and project teams.
• Successfully complete a job-related background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local law.
• Ohio plumbing license and/or journeyman credentials preferred, but not required. Plumbers with applicable or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience using plumbing service management software such as ServiceTitan is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Plumber based in Dayton, Ohio, serving the Greater Dayton area.
• Perform plumbing work aligned with your experience, which may include residential service and repair, new construction, remodeling, commercial plumbing, or a combination of these areas.
• Diagnose plumbing problems and perform professional repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance.
• Complete plumbing projects such as water heater replacements, piping and fixture installation, plumbing rough-ins, drain work, and other service or construction assignments.
• Troubleshoot plumbing systems and identify appropriate, lasting solutions.
• Follow applicable plumbing codes, safety procedures, and company quality standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, project teams, and leadership.
• Complete assigned plumbing work efficiently while maintaining high standards for craftsmanship and jobsite cleanliness.
• Use a company-provided tablet to document work, manage job information, and support customer communication.
• Take ownership of your work and continue developing your technical plumbing skills through hands-on experience and training.
• Pursue leadership opportunities as your experience, performance, and career goals develop.
