Qualifications

Role Description: This is a full-time in person Experienced Plaintiffs’ Only Medical Malpractice Paralegal role based either in the New York City or on Long Island, with some flexibility to work from home. The applicant will be directly involved in cases from intake to trial preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include direct client contact, preparing legal documents including pleadings and bills of particulars, reviewing and analyzing medical records, assisting with motions, and trial subpoenas. Proficiency with eFiling and managing deadlines is a must.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Law and civil litigation procedures, particularly plaintiff-side medical malpractice practice in New York.
• Candidates should possess skills in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery demands, motions, and trial-related materials.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with clients, experts, and legal professionals.
• Candidates should possess solid Research skills, including factual investigation, medical and legal research, and review of case-related materials.
• Candidates should possess careful Document Review skills, including analyzing medical records, identifying liability issues, and summarizing complex information.
• Several years of experience as a litigation or medical malpractice paralegal, preferably with plaintiffs’ firms.
