Job summary

Miller is seeking experienced pipe welders in Port Lavaca, TX to perform GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW welding on carbon steel and stainless piping. You will read isometrics, follow Welding Procedure Specifications, and ensure high-quality welds that meet project requirements.

Work may be in a shop or field, with shifts, overtime, and travel to customers as needed. Candidates must have 3–5 years of pipe welding experience and pass a 6G test; familiarity with ASME Section IX is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of pipe welding experience required.
• Must pass a pipe weld test (typically 6G).
• Experience with stainless steel, titanium and carbon steel piping.
• Ability to read blueprints and isometric drawings.
• Familiarity with ASME Section IX welding requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and/or FCAW welding on carbon steel and stainless‑steel pipe.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, spool sheets, and welding procedures.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Fit‑up and weld process piping systems.
