Job Summary

The BODYBAR Instructor is directly supervised by our Lead Instructor. The successful candidate possesses a friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills. As a member of the BODYBAR team, this person will have a passion for fitness and for serving others and will ensure a positive fitness experience for all BODYBAR members. We are hiring for McKinney, but also opening our Allen location later this year. This is a great opportunity to work at a studio with multiple locations and opportunity for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of BODYBAR’s method, mission, vision, and goals
• Create community at the studio through engagement with members before, during, and after class
• Design and instruct Pilates-based group fitness classes, according to the BODYBAR teaching formula, that are safe and effective for all fitness levels
• Educate participants on proper and safe exercise form
• Respond to client questions regarding special movement considerations, studio policies, and promotions
• Instructors are responsible for securing subs for all their classes when needed.

Qualifications

• A passion for health, fitness, and exercise
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of basic anatomy
• Prior Pilates Instruction highly preferred
• Complete the Comprehensive (or Bridge) BODYBAR Pilates Instructor Training Program, including passing each apparatus test-out

Preference will be given to those with existing Pilates certification, but it is not required. Hourly pay range is based on qualified, experienced applicants.
