Job summary

Ortho Rhode Island in Providence, RI is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and support patient mobility. You will assist physical therapists with treatments and help implement patient care plans.

We offer competitive pay between $26.15 and $32.70 per hour, a supportive work environment, generous PTO, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a dynamic orthopedic network.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Minimum one year of experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
• Rhode Island license.
• Current CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assists PTs in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
• Helps PTs fulfill patient treatment plans and procedures such as exercises, massages, ultrasound, and paraffin therapy.
• Records patient responses to treatments and reports outcomes to the physical therapist.
• Keeps treatment area clean and organized in preparation for each patient’s therapy.
• Helps patients moving to/from treatment area by pushing them in wheelchairs or providing support during ambulation.
• Performs clerical tasks such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and completing paperwork.
