Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a skilled Scanner Technician to join our Photo Operations team to maintain wafer fabrication processes and drive yield enhancement. The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration with engineering to ensure high quality results in a fast-paced high-volume environment.

Expect detailed SOPs, rigorous problem solving, and shift-hours on C shift (Thu–Sat, with alternating Wednesdays).

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree/equivalent military experience and/or 5+ years direct applicable Photo semiconductor experience in high volume manufacturing environment.
• Detail-oriented and task-oriented; place high value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and technical documents.
• Problem solving and assessment capability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to in-line issues in the wafer fabrication photo scanner equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex photo scanner equipment issues.
• Attention to detail and clear communication with confidence to escalate unknowns or issues.
• Analyze data using software tools to identify trends and possible problems; translate into a working solution.
• Engage with Engineering and vendor to ensure production quality results from scanner equipment.
• Execute change point management to ensure quality execution and validation.
• Continuously update SOPs to assure a quality clear result.
• Work hours: C Shift – Thursday through Saturday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our wafer fabrication processes, identifying complex problems, Monitoring trends, assessing results to what is expected, and implementing solutions to drive yield enhancement and customer quality product. The ideal candidate has multiple years’ experience with ASML scanner equipment.

The current base salary range for this role is between $26.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance
