Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team on a Monday to Friday schedule with rotational Saturdays. The role involves collecting specimens, processing samples, data entry, and patient-related tasks in a fast-paced lab setting.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and is proficient with data entry. Certification is preferred and state requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
