Job summary

A contracted phlebotomist position with Aspire Talent Solutions in Vancouver, WA, is available for 3 months with potential for permanent. Schedule is 5am-1:30pm, Mon-Fri and may require weekends and holidays. Pay rate is $27 per hour, with benefits available.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, maintaining data, and complying with physician orders. Experience with venipuncture and specimen handling is required.

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process to patients in clear, courteous terms.
• Demonstrate technique using straight/butterfly needles.
• Fully understand physicians' orders.
• Match requisition forms to tubes, label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy; package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature.
