Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist at Black River Medical Center in SC. You will draw blood samples, verify records, and prepare specimens for lab analysis. Shift pattern includes every other weekend from 7a to 7p, plus three 12-hour shifts on opposite weeks.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Applicants must have 250+ sticks; certification in phlebotomy is preferred, with BLS or CPR required and certification within 30 days if not already held.

Qualifications

• Must have 250+ sticks for application consideration.
• Certification in phlebotomy preferred; BLS or CPR required; if not BLS certified, certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Retail or hospital phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draws and collects blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Verifies records and may prick finger to draw blood when needed.
• May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and assist with donor screening at blood bank.
