Job summary

University Health System-San Antonio is seeking a pharmacy technician to perform a variety of duties in pharmacy operations and assist pharmacists under the supervision of professional staff, ensuring competent, efficient and timely completion of assignments.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, Texas license as a pharmacy technician, and at least four years of experience as an RPhT. Training in cash handling may be required during probation.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician (RPhT) is required.
• Current pharmacy technician licensure from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Graduation from high school/GED required or equivalent experience is required.
• Designated cash handlers must successfully complete the Patient Services Cashier course and be designated as a Patient Services Cashier during the initial probationary period.
