Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for the Medical Oncology Outpatient Clinic at Stephenson Cancer Center in Tulsa. The role may be filled as Ambulatory RN Level 1 or 2 based on experience, with duties spanning direct patient care, procedure assistance, and IV therapy in an ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting patient responses, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring compliant, high-quality care while aligning with OU Health values.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0-3 years of patient care as an RN for RN I; RN II requires 3+ years of RN experience.
• License/Certification: RN license (OK) or compact; BLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Align behaviors with OU Health values and maintain nursing practice standards.
• Manage assigned patients and provide care in ambulatory clinic settings.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in orders.
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor physiological data and respond to patient changes.
• Administer medications as prescribed and initiate IV infusions as needed.
• Deliver safe, competent patient care and address patient complaints per policy.
• Coordinate referrals and share care plans with patients and families.
