Job summary

Arbor Place is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Weekday and Weekend 3PM Shifts to provide compassionate, patient care to residents with dementia and cognitive impairment.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, safety, and observation of changes in conditions, communicating with nurses and the care team to ensure a calm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates compassion, attentiveness, and reliability in daily resident care.
• Ability to communicate calmly with residents and team members.
• Willingness to step in and assist wherever needed, including night shifts.

Certified Nursing Assistant | Weekday and Weekend 3PM Shifts

At Arbor Place, our team is proactive, engaged, and highly observant, helping our residents with dementia feel safe, reassured, comfortable, and known.

• This role is ideal for someone compassionate, dependable, and genuinely respectful of older adults.

What You’ll Do

Provide hands-on support for residents living with dementia and cognitive impairment

• Assist with toileting, repositioning, hygiene, continence care, mobility, transfers, and all ADLs
• Monitor for changes in condition, behavior, comfort, gait, sleep patterns, or alertness
• Respond promptly and calmly to resident needs during the night
• Help prevent falls and reduce nighttime confusion or agitation
• Support residents with reassurance, redirection, companionship, and a calming presence
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized environment
• Communicate observations clearly to nursing staff and the incoming day team
• Document care accurately and thoroughly
• Work collaboratively with nurses and caregivers as part of an integrated care team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in memory care, assisted living, skilled nursing, home care, or healthcare preferred
• Experience working with residents with dementia or cognitive impairment preferred
• CNA/GNA certification (helpful)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Overnight shift experience

Qualifications

• Ability to assist residents with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility support
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (50lbs), and respond quickly throughout the shift
• Ability to perform essential caregiving responsibilities safely and consistently throughout overnight hours
