CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking an Experienced Nurse Resident to work under supervision in managing care for patients with general medical or surgical needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• No prior experience required.

• Missouri nursing license active; BLS certification within 90 days.

Job Summary

Experienced Nurse Resident, under the supervision of a nurse, is responsible for managing the care of patients experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The Experienced Nurse Resident must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records, and provide patients and families with support and education. The medical‑surgical nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an NLN approved program.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
