Job summary

Walbec Group seeks an Experienced Operator in Milling Equipment to safely run utility milling machines, skid steers, belly brooms, and associated gear on asphalt/concrete projects across the Midwest. Candidates must have a CDL, a valid license, and at least two years of road milling experience.

High school diploma preferred; be punctual and dependable; able to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and in dusty outdoor conditions. Union membership encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• A CDL is required.
• Minimum of two years previous work experience in asphalt/concrete road milling.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• Minimum of one year previous work experience in cold milling machine operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of power construction equipment, including utility milling machines, skidsteer, belly brooms, and pulverizers/recyclers in a safe, efficient manner.
• Work in various weather conditions and dirty environments while maintaining safety standards.
• Be a member of the appropriate trade union or be willing to join; HR can assist with joining process.

The Position:

We're looking for an Experienced Operator in Milling Equipment, responsible for operating several types of power construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This equipment is specific to, but is not limited to, utility milling machines (concrete or asphalt), skidsteer, belly brooms, pulverizers/recyclers, etc.
