Job summary

Prince Industries in Batavia, IL is seeking an experienced Welder to set up, operate and perform welding to fabricate metal parts per customer specifications.

You will MIG/TIG weld carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, read blueprints and weld symbols, and inspect parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges to ensure first-pass quality.

This role supports production through collaboration with machine operators and requires a strong commitment to safety and a neat, efficient work area.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• 5+ years MIG/TIG welding experience.
• Proficient at math and tolerances according to specs.
• Able to read weld symbols, blueprints and drawings.
• GD&T knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and perform welding per customer specifications.
• MIG/TIG weld carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
• Interpret blueprints, weld symbols and drawings.
• Inspect parts with gauges, calipers and other precision tools.
• Support production and machine operators; keep welding area clean and organized.
• Assist with department transfers or special projects as needed.
