Amiculum is seeking an experienced medical writer based in the USA to support a fast-growing publications account focusing on oncology and/or hematology. The role centers on delivering high-quality scientific content across abstracts, posters, and manuscripts while building long-term client relationships.

Ideal candidates have a life sciences background, at least 3 years of experience in medical writing, and strong storytelling and editorial skills.

Qualifications

• A strong academic background in life sciences.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a medical writer supporting publications in a healthcare communications agency.
• Excellent storytelling abilities and the ability to transform complex science into clear content.
• Strong editorial skills with high attention to detail.
• Confidence in verbal communication and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality scientific content for a fast-paced global publications account.
• Provide clients with scientific expertise on medical communications projects (abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
• Review and provide constructive feedback on colleagues’ work.
• Maintain understanding of client products and therapy areas.
• Ensure quality and consistency across multiple deliverables.
• Build long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical writer based in the USA to join our dynamic team. This role will involve working on a fast-growing publications account that focuses on cutting-edge developments in oncology and/or hematology.

The role

Our core expertise is developing accurate and engaging scientific content, and delivering that through a variety of communication channels for maximum reach and impact. Our teams have developed an excellent reputation with our clients for the quality of work that we deliver.

As a result of this success, Amiculum is looking for an experienced medical writer with a passion for publications who enjoys building positive long-term relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping to drive organic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality scientific content on a fast-paced and growing global publications account
• Providing clients with a high level of scientific expertise on medical communications projects, with a focus on publications, including abstracts, posters and manuscripts
• Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on the work of other medical writers
• Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and the wider therapy area
• Ensuring quality and consistency across multiple deliverables
• Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts
• Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams
• Identifying opportunities to grow a contemporary publications account and actively participating in idea generation
• Line management experience is preferred
