Job summary

Lonza Bend site is hiring an Experienced MSAT Engineer to lead manufacturing processes for commercial products in a fully site-based role. You will drive technology transfers, partner with cross-functional teams, and solve complex technical challenges to optimize yield, quality, and cost.

Strong cGMP experience and rigorous analysis are essential to excel in this position. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using scientific and engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary process owner for commercial products, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable manufacturing operations.
  • Lead technology transfer activities and support commercial manufacturing campaigns for pharmaceutical products.
  • Partner with customers, project teams, and manufacturing stakeholders to solve technical challenges and improve process performance.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvements that enhance yield, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Lead investigations, root cause analyses, risk assessments, and corrective action activities using data-driven methodologies.
  • Support regulatory inspections, process validation, commissioning, qualification, and ongoing process verification activities.
  • Mentor colleagues, support operator training, and contribute to technical expertise development across the site.
