Job summary

Lonza Bend, Oregon is seeking an Experienced MSAT Engineer to serve as the primary process owner for commercial products, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable manufacturing operations on site.

You will lead technology transfer activities, support campaigns, collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and mentor colleagues to enhance yield, quality, and cost performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences (or related).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements and manufacturing processes.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary process owner for commercial products, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable manufacturing operations.
  • Lead technology transfer activities and support manufacturing campaigns for pharmaceutical products.
  • Partner with customers, project teams, and manufacturing stakeholders to solve technical challenges and improve process performance.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvements that enhance yield, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Lead investigations, root cause analyses, risk assessments, and corrective action activities using data-driven methodologies.
  • Support regulatory inspections, process validation, commissioning, qualification, and ongoing process verification activities.
  • Mentor colleagues, support operator training, and contribute to technical expertise development across the site.

What we are looking for

  • Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using scientific and engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and consistent on-site attendance.
