Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual machines such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts according to blueprints, drawings or specific instructions.
  • Set up machines by adjusting controls, tooling, and fixtures to ensure proper machining process.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools and materials based on job requirements.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or deviations from specifications; make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Proficiency in operating manual machines and understanding technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to machining operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus
