Job description

Industrial Maintenance Technician

• This is a hands-on position, not a supervisory role.
• This is not a property maintenance position.

Pay:

• $27.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience

Hours/Days:

• TBD

Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm after training, with Saturdays as required.

• Training hours will be determined based on need, but usually will be 7 am until 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties (not limited to):

• Perform skilled maintenance work to maintain machinery, support equipment, molds, and resin delivery systems, requiring knowledge of various trades.
• Repair and replace parts on mechanical equipment, blow molding machines, shredders, grinders, blenders, and support equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Inspect and check equipment for proper operation, make adjustments, log test readings, and maintain or replace parts as needed.
• Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to determine assembly methods and sequences.
• Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and calipers.
• Calibrate and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to meet operational specifications.
• Fabricate and assemble mechanical components for machinery or equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures and recommend solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibrate equipment regularly.
• Follow safety procedures and LO/TO requirements when working on machinery.
• Assist other maintenance and production personnel with projects and tasks.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean and safe condition.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Good organizational and communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance Technician does not have supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND DEMANDS: Heavy work involving lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance for objects over 50 pounds.
