Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–3 years prior culinary experience/hotel kitchen experience.
• Self-starting personality and even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Team player; willing to pitch in and help coworkers.
• Florida Food Handlers certificate.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing.
• Date and rotate perishables; keep at proper temperatures.
• Check equipment and plan prep for shifts; set up line.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and inventory aware.
• Return unused items to storage with cover/date on perishables.
• Support cost control and reduce food waste per standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment like fryers, broilers, stoves and ovens.
